Upon arrival to the Sheraton Frankfurt Airport, I was immediately checked in. Since I didn’t have any status with Starwood, I was given a Classic Room in the old tower. Honestly, the room was disappointing since it had a dirty feeling to it and the bathroom was small. Fortunately, I didn't have to spend anytime in the room other than to sleep.
After getting some information from the concierge, I went to the regional rail station which was very easy to get to. You have to go back to the Skybridge that links the airport terminal to the Sheraton. From there, you will take the elevator which is located in the halfway point of the Skybridge, down to the basement level.
I then took the S-Bahn (S8 train) to Frankfurt Hauptwache station and walked to the Römer. Since it was my first time to Europe, I enjoyed seeing the various types of architecture.

After seeing the Römer and the nearby area, I went to get some dinner at a nearby restaurant “Gasthof Steinernes Haus”. I ordered a pork schnitzel “hunter style” as my entree and an apple strudel for dessert. The food was absolutely amazing!
Once I finished eating dinner, I decided to walk around Frankfurt before heading back to the hotel. I was told by the concierge at the Sheraton that the Alte Oper (Old Opera) was worth seeing so I made my way there.
When I got to the Alte Oper, I didn’t know what I was going to do next. So, I got some coffee at a nearby Starbucks and people watched. It was interesting to see the number of Germans that sit outside in fifty degree weather while enjoying some coffee. You don’t see too many Americans sitting outside in that weather and enjoying coffee unless it’s a lot warmer!
When I finished my coffee, I made my way back to the Frankfurt Hauptwache station so I could take the S8 train back to the hotel. Once I got back to my room, I decided to go to bed early so I could wake up at early and spend more time at Lufthansa’s First Class Terminal.
